Mary K. Long

LMHC

I grew up as a Navy BRAT, married the Air Force and raised 2 wonderful children, home schooling them for 10 years. In my private practice, I now work with civilians, veterans and their families addressing issues of depression, anxiety and PTSD. Growing up in Tampa, Florida after my father retired, I attended St. Petersburg College and University of South Florida (USF) earning my Masters in Mental Health Counseling.

In 2010, I was trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) at USF, to study its effectiveness on trauma symptoms. I was blessed to be part of a wonderful group of clinicians as we studied ART and its impressive ability to alleviate the negative effects of PTSD. As a Master ART Practitioner, I have also participated in educating other clinicians in this approach on several ARMY bases such as Fort Belvoir, Fort Hood, Fort Drum and Fort Stewart. Now I am pleased to say that my love of teaching has led me to join the amazing group of clinicians that lead Basic trainings in ART.
