Brave B.A.S.H. Mash

BUILDING ADVOCATES FOR SUCCESSFUL HEALING

Brave B.A.S.H. (Building Advocates for Successful Healing) is an inspiring and invigorating event created to raise funds for ART international. For the health and safety of our donors, friends, and community, we have transitioned this year’s Brave B.A.S.H. to a “hybrid” event. We are excited to utilize this creative format which will offer our supporters the opportunity to attend the live event or host smaller at-home viewing parties as well as expand our audience nationwide. We wish you and your loved ones health, and thank you for your continued support and commitment to providing successful mental health treatment to those suffering from across the nation.

MENTAL HEALTH CHAMPION - $50,000

Supports Organizational Mission

Help us educate the community and eradicate the stigma associated with mental health. ART is paving the way for successful mental health treatment and transforming the lives of caring citizens, active duty military and veterans, youth and families, first responders, safety net organizations, and businesses.

The partnerships from our Mental Health Champions will help us meet the increasing demand for mental health services and ensure that no individual feels alone or without the necessary support, information, and help they need.

RAY OF HOPE - $25,000

Supports trauma focused therapy treatment necessary to restore the lives of children and families

The increased public understanding that childhood trauma can have a lasting impact on a child’s physical and mental health presents an important opportunity to turn this awareness into action. PTSD is a significant problem in children that requires early diagnosis and successful treatment to avoid additional trauma experienced as the child grows. Many children are misdiagnosed or not receiving the necessary treatment at all.

ART International partners with organizations like Rebekah’s Angels (www.rebekahsangels.org) to ensure that early intervention and successful treatment is available to children and families who have experienced a traumatic event. The mental health of our children today, determines their success for the future.

COMMUNITY OF COURAGE - $15,000

Supports first responders who risk their own lives to help those in crisis.

First responder personnel experience more trauma exposure in one month than most people experience in a lifetime. While in the line of duty, first responders frequently face potentially dangerous and traumatic situations which put them at risk for a variety of mental health issues, such as trauma, anxiety, burnout, and depression.

The culture of first responders often makes it difficult to bring up issues they experience, as well as deeply troubling events that continue to affect them. Through our partnerships, we are able to provide trauma-informed practices and evidence-based treatment modalities to assist first responders and their families achieve recovery and sustainable life.

POST TRAUMATIC GROWTH - $10,000

Supports the mission of empowering active duty military and veterans by providing access to successful mental health treatment and community engagement.

Veterans in this country come from different eras but they all share a common experience: living a life that is ever-changing. Due to the unique, and sometimes challenging, lifestyle inherent to military life, often our veterans experience a variety of mental health challenges.

Through our partnerships with organizations like The Veterans Alternative (www.veteransalternative.org) we are able to maintain our mission in helping warriors through the challenges of transitioning from active military service back to civilian life, and beyond. We focus our efforts on healing the hidden wounds of war and providing a platform centered around post-traumatic growth for veterans and their families with high-quality, accessible care, regardless of discharge status or role in service.

HELPING HANDS - $5,000

Supports the mental health of health-care workers in the COVID-19 era

This year, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has radically changed the lives of everyone living in our country and worldwide. Providing care to others during the COVID-19 pandemic can lead to stress, anxiety, fear, and other strong emotions.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many health-care workers have worked under unprecedented circumstances which are likely to increase the risk of mental health disorders such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or depression, other anxiety disorders, substance misuse and suicide.

Through our partnerships with hospital systems and safety net organizations we are able to guarantee that critical measures are taken to protect the mental health of healthcare staff as well as identify those who may be experiencing psychological injuries, to ensure they are provided with appropriate and effective evidence-based support or care.
